Last minute - the 2020 edition of the Bénéteau B-Tour cancelled

Not surprisingly, given the current health situation, the Bénéteau shipyard in Vendée has just announced the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the B Tour.

Last minute - the 2020 edition of the Bénéteau B-Tour cancelled

The current Covid-19 epidemic does not allow the 2020 edition of the B-Tour, scheduled for May 15-24 at Crouesty (Arzon), Brittany, France.

This year, this 8th edition was to see the concept of the Barracuda Tour, Europe's first no kill sea bass fishing competition aboard a one-design fleet of Bénéteau Barracuda boats, extended to include a Test and Powerboat Festival, including the Barracuda Tour.

In its press release, the B-Tour's organizing team states that "up to date, the conditions enabling us to prepare and organize the event, to invite, as we do every year, crews from the four corners of the world, and to initiate the new formula of the B-Tour, are not in place. The uncertainty about the evolution of the epidemic, and our willingness to participate in slowing down the spread of Covid-19, leads us today to take all the necessary measures".

While waiting for the current health crisis to subside, it is easy to imagine the B-Tour teams now working on a 2021 edition of the B-Tour, which will be even more successful than the one expected next May.
