An electric tender for Chinese Highfield RIBs

Boot 2023 will be the occasion for Highfield, the Chinese RIB manufacturer, to unveil a tender powered by an electric motor.

An electric tender for Chinese Highfield RIBs

This motorization will be provided by the ePropulsion company.

The model selected in the Highfield range is the Classic 340, which becomes Classic 340 E for the occasion.

The installation of an ePropulsion Navy 6.0 Evo electric outboard motor - a competitor of Torqeedo and Mercury Marine solutions - provides a clean, efficient and reliable propulsion system equivalent to a 9.9 hp internal combustion engine.

Light and compact, the outboard is easy to transport, whether it is stored on land or on board.

Like the rest of Highfield's line of RIBs and tenders, the CL340 E is built in China with an aluminum hull.

At 3.4 meters long and 1.7 meters wide, the 340 E can accommodate up to five people.

"We are delighted to include the CL340E equipped with the Navy 6.0 Evo ePropulsion in our range of tenders," comments Mathilde Delfour, Highfield's European General Manager. "We look forward to equipping our existing and new customers with this reliable, efficient and environmentally friendly solution." Looking ahead to future developments, Delfour says, "Stay tuned, there's more to come!"
