The Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan Area and Grand Pavois Organisation announce a show dedicated to sustainable boating in Nice in 2025.
Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and Deputy President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, and Alain Pochon, President of Grand Pavois Organisation, have signed a collaboration agreement to organise the first Nice Boating Tomorrow, a show dedicated to the boating of tomorrow, to be held at Quai Infernet in the Port of Nice from Thursday 30 October to Sunday 2 November 2025.
This new boat show will feature four days dedicated to the boating of tomorrow, with exhibitors on land and afloat, as well as sea trials and demonstrations.
Round-table discussions, conferences, meetings, product presentations and new products will punctuate this unique event, which will also see the presence of leading figures in the maritime and environmental sectors to exchange and share ideas, with the aim of building a transition towards responsible boating.
While there are a number of events and highlights dedicated to the boating of tomorrow, there is currently no French or international event that brings together and concentrates all the know-how, ideas, innovations and solutions in the field of yachting.
Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice and President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, told ActuNautique Yachting Art: ‘Today we are making history. The signing of this agreement brings Nice Boating Tomorrow to life and once again demonstrates the determination of the City of Nice and the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolitan Area to offer a more responsible world. And what better challenge than to link boating and environmental transition! The marine industry, committed to reducing its ecological footprint, needed a show that was fully dedicated to the major challenge of preserving our planet and our resources. This event will be a magnificent economic opportunity for our metropolitan area, and a prime showcase for local and French know-how. Finally, I would naturally like to salute Alain Pochon, President of Grand Pavois Organisation, an expert in the world of nautical events, with whom I am proud to bring Nice Boating Tomorrow to life, which will establish itself as a benchmark show and mark a revolution in the sector’.
Alain Pochon, President of Grand Pavois Organisation added: ‘ It is a real honour and a real challenge that we are building and developing with the city of Nice and the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area by creating this new Mediterranean event dedicated to the boating of tomorrow. We have a duty to showcase all the approaches and solutions that exist today, with a strong focus on the Mediterranean market, but also to look ahead and showcase what tomorrow's practice will look like. It's also vital to focus energies, ideas and initiatives on the issue of environmental transition, and Nice Boating Tomorrow aims to be an annual highlight for international boating and its future. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Grand Pavois Organisation, I would like to thank Mr Christian Estrosi and his teams for the confidence they have shown in us by creating Nice Boating Tomorrow'.
As in many sectors, the environmental transition in the boating industry is now a priority.
The marine industry is committed to reducing its ecological footprint. This transition encompasses the entire life cycle of pleasure boats, from the design, construction and dismantling phases through to their use and maintenance, not forgetting the ports, which are one of the essential links in this chain and must adapt to this transition.
The nautical sector plays an essential role in the economy of France's coastal regions, as does the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolitan area.
With 150,000 direct and indirect jobs, more than 5,000 companies, international leadership with an export rate of more than 70% of its production, and leading brands in the global marine industry, the French marine industry is an undeniable asset to the French blue water economy.
