Nautism and multihulls - Windelo enters 2025 with a significant evolution in its catamaran range. The shipyard based in Canet en Roussillon is unveiling the new Windelo 51 Sport and Windelo 55 Sport. These models, designed for performance and lightness, replace the previous Sport versions of the Windelo 50 and 54.

Designed by Christophe Barreau and Frédéric Neuman, these catamarans are the result of an ambitious technical development programme aimed at improving performance by at least 10%. To achieve this, a number of innovations have been incorporated:

• A lighter structure thanks to the use of advanced materials and the addition of carbon.
• An optimised carbon rig to maximise efficiency under sail.
• A more powerful sail plan, with increased surface area for optimum performance.
• Redesigned bows and daggerboards for improved water penetration.
• A longer waterline, improving speed and fluidity when sailing.
