On 10 March 2025, Dometic unveils its new CFX5 portable electric refrigerator, designed for boating and outdoor activities. This new range incorporates vacuum insulation panels (VIP), a first for the brand, to reduce energy consumption and weight while providing high-performance insulation.

Features and innovations

The CFX5 is equipped with the VMSO 3.5 compressor, the most powerful developed by Dometic, ensuring optimum refrigeration and freezing performance, with the possibility of reaching -22°C. Some models also have independent cooling zones, which can be controlled remotely via the Dometic app.

Designed for use when camping or travelling, the CFX5 boasts a robust, ergonomic design. It includes:

• An easy-to-open locking system
• Removable non-slip lid
• Reinforced handles for easy transport
• Weatherproof TFT screen for intuitive operation
• Removable baskets for better interior organisation

Power supply and autonomy

The refrigerator can be connected to a Dometic vehicle or battery, with an advanced protection system to ensure a reliable power supply, even in difficult conditions.

Design and formats available

Available in several sizes and two colours, Ore and Slate, the CFX5 is designed to optimise storage space. It includes practical features such as an open lid alert and an integrated bottle opener.

With these new features, Dometic aims to offer a portable refrigerator tailored to the needs of travellers, while maximising energy efficiency and practicality.
