This original and fast method is one of those used across the Channel by the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution), the equivalent of the French SNSM (Société nationale de sauvetage en mer or National Society for Sea Rescue) or the German DGzRS (Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger).
It is always impressive to see how it is possible to beach a lifeboat of the Royal National Lifeboat
Institution (RNLI) on a pebble beach in Britain.
