V1D2, a unique offer in Boat refit & preparation

Today's nautical news comes to us from Normandy, France, where the V1D2 refit and preparation yard, for leisure boats, based in Caen, a subsidiary of the Snip Yachting Group, stands out for its unique service offering, in Northern Europe.

The yard has over 10,000 square meters of outdoor space, 2,000 square meters of modular hangars and 150 meters of quays equipped with floating pontoons. This infrastructure can accommodate several large boats simultaneously, including during storage or wintering.

V1D2's expertise is based on a unique range of services: heavy structural repairs, yacht de-rigging, damage and hull repairs, composite work, top-of-the-range painting, and custom woodwork.
V1D2 teams also include specialists in rigging, onboard electronics, marine electricity and marine mechanics. V1D2 is also an active sailmaker within the Snip Yachting Group.

One of the site's major assets is its 22-meter paint booth with integrated pit, enabling keeled units to be treated without complex handling. This facility, rare in Northern Europe, can handle sailboats up to 60 feet in length, guaranteeing precision and safety.

V1D2 also offers a complete preparation, wintering and launching service. Here, a boat can be taken care of from A to Z. This "turnkey" service is tailored to the needs of a demanding clientele, whether professional or private.

This 360-degree integrated offer, and the ability to work on yachts that have not been stripped of their keels, is unique in Northern Europe, and means that yachtsmen from the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and even Scandinavia can benefit from a one-stop shop dedicated to the preparation, refit and storage of their sailboat or motorboat, in a secure and easily accessible location.
