The Windsurfer European Championship came to an end on Sunday 11 June after 4 days of competition at the Carnac Yacht Club.

The competition, organised by Carnac Yacht Club and the International Windsurfer Class Association (IWCA), took advantage of a sunny final day with 8 to 10 knots of breeze for the 145 competitors to complete the long 5-mile distance.
The big winner of the competition was Faustine Merret. The 2004 Olympic gold medallist, who turned 45 this year, came out on top in the long distance scratch race.

Light: Nicolas Mallaret
Medium: Frédéric Duthil
Young: Federico Longo
Heavy : Frédéric Bonneau
Super Heavy : Anthony Lecadre
Faustine Merret, who topped the women's and overall rankings, was presented with the Prix du Président de la République by the Prefect of Morbihan, Pascal Bolot.
