The association's first event, 'La Généreuse du Morbihan' 2025, will take the form of a regatta to be held from 22 to 24 May 2025 in the port of Crouesty, Brittany. The aim of the event is to fund medical research into ALS (Charcot's disease), in partnership with the 'Institut du Cerveau' (Brain Institute). Backed by Olivier Goy, a fervent advocate of the recognition of disability, and by 'Les Invincibles association', the event also benefits from the support of the commune of Arzon, the Port of Crouesty, the Crouesty Arzon Yacht Club and the prestigious Yacht Club de France.
The regatta aims to bring together 40 crews, around 300 participants, and to raise 300,000 euros by the time of the charity dinner on 23 May 2025, the highlight of the event. Alongside the races at sea, a cultural and educational programme will enhance this solidarity initiative. One of the highlights will be the free showing of the film Invincible été at the Crouesty cinema, to raise awareness of the reality of disability and the need to support the ones who live with disabilities and their families.
With this first edition, La Généreuse is confirming its desire to combine a passion for sailing, a competitive spirit and a humanitarian commitment, while at the same time establishing this regatta as a major nautical event with a solidarity vocation.
