Sailing catamarans - ORC shipyard (France) announces the development of the future ORC 52.2

The ORC (Groupe Grand Large Yachting) shipyard, formerly Marsaudon Composites, based in Lorient La Base, in the heart of Sailing Valley, announces the official launch of its new model, the ORC 52.2, a catamaran designed to meet the expectations of experienced sailors.

Designed to combine performance and ergonomics, this model has been designed to optimise sailing and comfort on board. Its ergonomic cockpit makes manoeuvring easy, providing a fluid and secure grip, even in demanding conditions.

The interior of the ORC 52.2, designed by Franck Darnet Design, offers a contemporary layout suited to extended use at sea. Each space has been designed to combine functionality and aesthetics, creating a comfortable living environment for passengers.

The exterior architecture, designed by Christophe Barreau, favours lines that optimise glide and manoeuvrability. The rear skirts have been designed to facilitate access to the sea while preserving the balance of the overall design.

With this new model, ORC is continuing its approach of offering ‘catamarans adapted to the requirements of sailors looking for a compromise between performance, aesthetics and safe sailing’.

Safe sailing' is an important point, given that the Marsaudon Composites catamarans were high-performance but playful, raising the hull at will and destabilising more than one skipper, even very experienced ones...

The ORC shipyard is based at the Lorient La Base submarine base.
