Fishermen are reputed seafarers, who must reconcile work of fishing and navigation abilities!

In this video, 2 fishing boats from Riverton battle their way through and over the Greymouth Bar after the river was flooded from heavy rains which had hit the area over the previous 24 hours.

The bar is one of the most dangerous bars in New Zealand.

These images have been taken by chance by a documentary filmmaker who came to film the region, and which are impressive, showing all the mastery of fishermen pilots.
