MB92 La Ciotat is working closely with the port concessionaire, D-Marin, which has entrusted it with the operation of the site, and with the current shipyard team, which will remain in place to ensure a smooth transition and prepare the site for its future role within MB92 Group.
Significant improvements will be made to health, safety and environmental (HSE) protocols, and major investments will be made to modernise the shipyard and align its operations with the Group's ESG commitments, particularly in the areas of water treatment, waste management and energy efficiency.
The aim is to transform the site into an innovative and environmentally friendly business, meeting the needs of the yachting industry and the expectations of the local community.
Rob Papworth, Managing Director of MB92 La Ciotat, told ActuNautique Yachtying Art: "Our ambition at Golfe-Juan is to provide the same level of quality and attention to detail for which MB92 is renowned worldwide, drawing on our extensive experience in servicing yachts under 50 metres. We are confident that Golfe-Juan will quickly become a dynamic and attractive site, both for our regular customers and for newcomers, offering a personalised and flexible experience, similar to the one we offer in La Ciotat with our 300-tonne ‘Origins’ facility. Working with local sub-contractors and our extensive network of partners, we are committed to bringing real added value to every project, positioning Golfe-Juan as a key destination for yacht maintenance and refit services in the Mediterranean, while reinforcing our commitment to sustainable practices."
