Yachting - Alia Yachts delivers Kaiyo, a 53-metre superyacht that is part yacht, part support and expedition vessel

Alia Yachts recently delivered Kaiyo, a 53-metre aluminium superyacht. Initially designed as a support vessel, it has evolved into a hybrid model combining ample storage space for nautical equipment and accommodation that meets yachting standards.

Layout and living spaces
Kaiyo is equipped with three cabins, including a master suite and two guest cabins, accommodating up to six people. It also includes a lounge, an aft deck equipped for dining and relaxation, a sundeck with bar and deckchairs, and a beach club at water level.

A multifunctional design
Designed by Azure Yacht Design and Diana Yacht Design, Kaiyo incorporates an elevated aft deck that serves as a helipad for an Airbus H145 and can be used as a leisure and reception area, transformable into a volleyball or basketball court thanks to an integrated lighting and net system.

Capacity to transport nautical equipment
Kaiyo is designed to carry a wide range of equipment, including:

  • An Airbus helicopter and a Triton 660/7 submarine
  • A 13-metre tender and an 8.2-metre beach lander
  • A 6.1-metre water-ski boat
  • RS Teras and RS Cat 14 sailboats
  • Jetskis, seabobs, paddleboards, kayaks, diving equipment
  • An inflatable water park and a floating obstacle course

Performance and autonomy
With a range of 4,100 nautical miles and a speed of 15 knots, Kaiyo is designed for long-distance sailing. After its delivery in January, it made a crossing to the Caribbean, where its owner plans to use it for both expeditions and on-board events.

A model illustrating a growing trend

According to Gökhan Çelik, president of Alia Yachts, Kaiyo reflects an approach combining functionality and yachting standards. This project is part of a growing demand for yachts combining utility and accommodation.
