Numarine enters a new era with the delivery of the 40MXP Mitan

Founded in 2002 in Istanbul by Ömer Malaz, Numarine has established itself over the past two decades as one of the most innovative shipyards in the global yachting industry. Specialising in the construction of exploration yachts that combine performance, design and autonomy, the Turkish brand has made a name for itself with its XP (Explorer) range, which has redefined the standards of comfort and robustness at sea.

With an ultra-modern shipyard covering more than 35,000 m², Numarine designs and produces all of its yachts in-house, from design to mould manufacturing, a rare model in the industry that guarantees total control over quality and deadlines. In just twenty years, the brand has delivered more than 170 yachts worldwide, affirming its resolutely contemporary style and international ambition.

The Turkish shipyard recently celebrated the delivery of Mitan, the second unit of the 40MXP, the largest yacht ever built by Numarine. At 40 metres long, this model embodies a new generation of Mediterranean expedition superyachts, capable of combining ocean autonomy with the pleasure of outdoor living.

Inspired by the success of the 37XP, the 40MXP pushes the boundaries of elegance and functionality. The lengthening of the hull has allowed for a complete redesign of the aft deck: the area now features a lounge, bar and open-air dining area, centred around a glass-bottomed swimming pool that becomes the social hub of the vessel. This spectacular terrace opens onto a hydraulic aft beach that spans the entire width of the yacht (8 metres), creating a seamless connection between the sea and the onboard relaxation areas.

Beneath its assertive silhouette, Mitan is powered by two 800-horsepower MAN engines - with a Tier III-compatible 900-horsepower option - enabling it to travel up to 6,000 nautical miles at 8 knots. As always with Numarine, customisation reigns supreme: each unit is unique, with bespoke interiors and finishes tailored to the owner's vision.

As the shipyard celebrates the delivery of its largest yacht, another page in its history is turning: the 26XP, the flagship model launched in 2018, is bowing out with the sale of its 30th and final unit. This 26-metre yacht, appreciated for its autonomy, contemporary lines and value for money, has contributed to the brand's international growth.

However, Numarine is not leaving a void: its successor, the brand new 27XP, was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025. Designed by Can Yalman and naval architect Umberto Tagliavini, this model heralds a new era for the shipyard. Compact, quieter, more energy efficient and with a redesigned interior, the 27XP promises to combine the adventurous spirit of the great explorers with the elegance of a contemporary yacht.

The first unit is already under construction and is expected to be delivered in 2026, confirming Numarine's desire to strengthen its ‘small explorer’ range while moving upmarket in the superyacht segment.

In parallel with its commercial successes, Numarine is taking a new step in its customer relations by launching the Numarine Charter Club, in partnership with Neo Yachting.

This initiative is part of the overall vision of Numarine World, which aims to bring together all facets of the brand experience under one banner — from construction to ownership and chartering.

The Numarine Charter Club will enable the brand's fleet of yachts to be listed, managed and promoted centrally, guaranteeing a consistent level of quality, service and maintenance. For owners, it is also an opportunity to monetise their boat when it is not in use, while benefiting from Neo Yachting's international network and expertise.

This integrated approach illustrates the shipyard's strategy: to offer much more than a yacht, but a complete and consistent experience.

Finally, Numarine is continuing its international expansion by announcing a new strategic partnership with Flagship International Yacht Brokers, based in Sydney. This distributor, renowned for its expertise in the luxury market in Oceania, will now represent the brand in Australia and New Zealand.

For Marley Cutbush, Managing Director of Flagship International, this partnership "offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a builder that combines cutting-edge technology, innovation and contemporary design, without ever compromising on quality or seaworthiness.

This new alliance complements an already strong global network covering Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, confirming Numarine's desire to expand its influence across all continents.

We have always championed a vision of freedom and connection with the sea," says Ömer Malaz, founder and president of Numarine.

‘Mitan and the 40MXP embody our vision of the modern yacht: luxurious, high-performance and completely open to the ocean. With the launch of the 27XP, the creation of our Charter Club and the opening of new markets, Numarine is entering an era of unprecedented innovation and adventure.’
