Benetti Yachtmaster 2025: 25 years of commitment and partnerships in the marine industry

The Benetti Yachtmaster 2025 was held in Marrakech from 12 to 14 February, bringing together over 200 participants: captains, experts, owner representatives and major industry players. The event, initiated in 2000 by Paolo Vitelli, founder of the Azimut|Benetti Group, celebrated its 25th anniversary by highlighting advances in design, innovation and sustainability.

The first day was devoted to an interactive coaching session based on a Serious Game. Groups of ten people worked with conversation cards to tackle professional challenges and suggest areas for improvement. Three principles guided these exchanges: communication, collaboration and connection.

The second day was devoted to Benetti's prospects for innovation. The CEO of the Azimut|Benetti Group, Marco Valle, underlined the importance of this meeting in strengthening links with industry players and recalled the results achieved in the Global Order Book 2024.

Customer service and personalisation

Massimiliano Casoni, Managing Director of Benetti, emphasised the relationship of trust with captains and owners. A Net Promoter Score (NPS ) survey conducted in 2024 revealed areas for improvement and confirmed the importance of tailor-made service. A specific support programme, including a dedicated Service Manager and international service points, will be offered to ensure follow-up throughout the yachts' lifecycle.

Orders and production

Daniela Petrozzi, Head of Sales, presented the production figures: 60 yachts on order until 2028, representing a cumulative total of 2.7 km. Sales are evenly distributed:

  • 35% in Europe
  • 33% in the Middle East and Asia-Pacific
  • 32% in the Americas

Sustainability and alternative technologies

The ecological transition was a central theme. Gilberto Francesini and Marco Coiatelli described the progress made on the Green Route. Benetti is banking on HVO biofuel, a fuel derived from renewable raw materials that can reduce CO2 emissions by 90%. At the same time, an engine running on methanol is being developed, with a simulation installed in Livorno to prepare crews for its use.

The role of Lusben and future prospects

The Lusben division, headed by Ferdinando Pilli, is planning new investments in Livorno following a €12 million development plan. From 2025,Lusben will be responsible for the after-sales service of Benetti yachts, with maintenance contracts covering spare parts, overhauls and repairs.

Finally, the meeting concluded with some bonding activities in the medina of Marrakech, strengthening the ties between yachting professionals. The next event is scheduled to take place in Miami on 2 and 3 April 2025.
