Belzona Marine announced that their Easy Open Sliding Door is officially patented by the United States Patent and Trademark Office; making Belzona Marine the sole owner of the innovative feature.

The disclosure of this patent just adds to the already long list of products that the Belzona Companies have invented; including polymer marine composites, and protective coatings.

This new patent for owner and inventor Joel Svendsen, covers the technology, mechanics and boarding methods for a marine vessel sliding door system that is integrated into a stern portion of a gunwale of a marine craft. A rail and slide assembly enables the sliding motion, while the stern arrangement of the gunwale sliding section enables a wider span across the opening, thus enhancing embarking and disembarking of the marine vessel. Opening to forty inches, the sliding gunwale allows full accessibility to individuals who may be wheelchair bound.

The Easy Open Sliding Door is a standard feature on both the Belzona Marine 325 Center Console and Belzona Marine 327 Walk Around models.
