Canet en Roussillon asserts itself as a major yacht refit center in the Mediterranean

The announcement of the creation of a "Pôle Village Refit" on the Technical Zone of the port of Canet en Roussillon, makes the Occitan port a major refit center on the Mediterranean, with a very specific character, of great interest to both shipyards and yacht owners.

Today sees the official launch of the Pôle Village Refit, a group of companies specializing in boat refit and renovation, based at the Pôle Nautique de Canet-en-Roussillon.

The Pôle Village Refit represents a unique alliance of skills and resources, and forms an integrated whole capable of meeting the refit and repair needs of catamarans, sailing and motor monohulls, from 10 to 30 meters and weighing up to 85 tons.

Equipped with an autonomous remote-controlled trailer, a 35-ton unloading deck, and located on a 4700 m² quayside site within the Pôle Nautique de Canet-en-Roussillon, the Pôle Village Refit is positioned to offer complete refit services, including Awlgrip cocoon painting, covering, electricity, electronics, home automation, custom fabrication of stainless steel parts, top-of-the-range saddlery, sail flooring, lamination, joinery, teak deck, synthetic teak, repairs, deck fittings, rigging, dismasting, reconditioning, and mast painting.

The building permit for the quayside plot was validated and accepted by the Canet-en-Roussillon town council, reinforcing its support and commitment to the creation of a skills cluster in the nautical industry.
