Today’s yachting news comes from Canet-en-Roussillon, where Pascal Ouradou has expanded his boat refit and commissioning facility, addressing a significant gap in the Mediterranean market for pleasure craft between 10 and 30 metres in length.
Over the past 25 years, the refit industry has grown around specialised hubs serving yachts and superyachts, primarily concentrated across the Mediterranean. However, technical facilities tailored to smaller vessels have remained scarce. In response, Pascal Ouradou developed MDCP – also known as the Refit & Commissioning Hub – located in Canet-en-Roussillon, near Perpignan, in the western Mediterranean.
MDCP focuses on the commissioning, repair, and complete refurbishment of sailing and motor yachts, including both monohulls and multihulls, from 10 to 30 metres, with a lifting capacity of up to 95 tonnes.
The company offers a full suite of services to support boat owners through every stage of their vessel’s restoration or upgrade. These services include professional paintwork using AWLGRIP coatings, vinyl wrapping, and the installation or modernisation of electrical, electronic, and smart systems.
MDCP also specialises in rigging work and bespoke carpentry, covering mast repairs and both interior and exterior woodwork. Teak deck installation and repairs, fibreglass laminating, and certified technical repairs are also available.
Additionally, MDCP provides custom stainless-steel fabrication, premium upholstery, and sailmaking services, all designed to meet the specific needs of recreational sailors and marine industry professionals alike.
