Construction of the new M/Y Day’s is proceeding perfectly according to plan and on schedule. The full custom 68 meter long super-yacht by CCN YACHTS is being built in collaboration with AES YACHT from Turkey and will be the first vessel of the yard’s new ICE YACHTS range.

Work would be proceeding on-budget and according to schedule, with delivery of the first CCN ICE YACHTS super-yacht planned for the first half of next year.

Presently, the shipyard announces that insulation pins and studs would have been completed, as well as steel and aluminium construction, outfitting of all hot works, grid blasting and primer painting being under process. All tank connection lines would have been complete as well as 30% of the plumbing.

CCN Yachts is building the 68m M/Y Day’s as the first unit of the range. Ranging from 65 to 75 meters in length, Day’s is being built in collaboration with the AES YACHT shipyard.

This joint venture is working together with the internationally awarded Italian design studio HOT LAB for interior and exterior design, creating a brand-new project for a private client. The Turkish company Endaze Marine Engineering is in charge of vessel’s naval architecture.

Project management on the client’s behalf is carried out by Mr. Jacques Potgieter. With his extensive sea going and operational management experience in the industry, his input is vital to ensure that the vessel is being built to industry standards and that it will be functional, safe and cost effective to operate and maintain. This was facilitated by his involvement in the preliminary stages of the project, more than six month before any steel was cut.
