Sanlorenzo Asia registers another record year and expands business

Sanlorenzo has seen a record number of deliveries into Asia in 2023 with yachts from across the range delivered and now cruising in some of the most remote Asian areas including Indonesia’s Komodo and Raja Ampat. Significant deliveries include the new model SD118 – a yacht measuring 35.7 metres with a GT of 291. This new tri-deck, semi displacement yacht is a firm favourite from the shipyard with several more in build for APAC and deliveries sold out until 2026.

The Asymmetric range has also proven its strength with multiple yachts in build and the first SL106A delivered into South-East Asia with several of the SL90A and SL96A already located in the region.

The SX range dominates its sector of compact crossover explorer vessels, unrivalled by any of its competitors providing a unique semi-open layout, amazing volumes and stand-out design and innovation. The new SX100 has sold well and large numbers of the SX76, SX88 and SX112 are already cruising in Asia.

The brand new line of smart fast performance yachts, the SP range, has also found fans in Asia with the first unit of the new SP110 expected to arrive in the region in mid 2024.

With the SL, SD, SX and SP model lines Sanlorenzo can offer a yacht for all clients with varying needs and expectations, each of them unique and bespoke.

Sanlorenzo Asia has currently more than 20 yachts under construction for delivery and the summer of 2024 will be a particularly exciting time with multiple launches including the award-winning Superyacht ALLOY, the new fast SP110, the stunning SX100, and the voluminous SD90 making its first Asia appearance. The team will be travelling, commissioning, and supporting the yachts and their owners as new journeys begin.

A Dedicated Superyacht Division and Service Expansion

“Our superyacht specialists have been busy following our adventurous owners across Asia and with several new superyachts under construction we will continue to invest in the appropriate infrastructure to support these larger yachts having probably the only dedicated team in Asia doing this”, ensures Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager at Simpson Marine.

“Service is paramount to a yacht owner’s experience and enjoyment, and we are privileged to have superb service and support teams across the region. March 2023 saw the inaugural Sanlorenzo Captains Workshop held in Hong Kong. A three-day event dedicated to Sanlorenzo’s captains and crews supported by the Italian shipyard team and numerous local manufacturers and suppliers. A proud moment for us to bring together such a large group of industry professionals and show our commitment and support to the teams working on board”, continues Stratton.

2024 will be a year of growth as Sanlorenzo Asia is set to open new offices across the region  with central head offices for North Asia in Hong Kong and South East-Asia in Singapore already open. Designed by Piero Lissoni, these offices set a benchmark for the brand’s positioning in the region. With the yachts under construction and those already delivered, the Asia fleet will be close to 100 active yachts, which is a significant milestone for the brand having started its Asia operations in 2015 with first yachts delivered in 2017. Since that time, Hong Kong and Singapore have become main delivery hubs with the strongest markets also including Mainland China, Indonesia and Thailand.
