SailGP - official French Team for the 2025 season

The SailGP is an international sailing circuit where the world's best sailors compete. This spectacular competition takes place across fourteen Grand Prix events held in iconic locations. The crews compete on board F50s, high-tech catamarans capable of exceeding 100 km/h. The French team still holds the race speed record, set at 99.94 km/h (53.87 knots) during the Saint-Tropez event in 2022.

For the 2025 season, twelve international teams will be competing, bringing together sailors from the Olympic Games and the America's Cup. The French crew will be led by Quentin Delapierre, accompanied by Kevin Peponnet (wing trimmer), Jason Saunders (flight controller), Matthieu Vandame, Timothé Lapauw and Olivier Herlédant (winches), as well as tacticians Manon Audinet and Camille Lecointre.

In the run-up to the resumption of competition in Sydney, the French Sailing Federation (FFVoile) has granted the French team official status as the French Team. This underlines their commitment to representing the values of excellence, performance and ethics associated with French sailing.

Guillaume Chiellino, National Technical Director of the FFVoile, explains that this status is granted to athletes based on their performance and potential. He also emphasises the importance of the SailGP championship, which conveys the social and environmental values dear to the discipline.

Philippe Mourniac, former director of the French Olympic Team and now director of the French SailGP Team, will accompany the group to the highest level.

For his part, Bruno Dubois, CEO of the French SailGP team, emphasises the importance of the ‘Équipe de France’ label: ‘Representing a country goes beyond individual sporting results. We wear the colours of the nation with the aim of shining on the international stage.’
