Greek shipyard Technohull unveils a brand new model in its catalogue with the launch of the XPD 46, a 14.85-metre vessel that inaugurates the new Expedition series, designed for lovers of offshore sailing and unrestricted adventure, whatever the season.
Designed to meet the requirements of comfort and versatility in all conditions, the XPD 46 has a bold silhouette and a design inspired by Scandinavian boats, while retaining the open elegance characteristic of Mediterranean boats. Its modular central superstructure, which can be completely closed or wide open depending on the weather or your preferences, offers real adaptability, which is rare in this segment.
Outside, there are plenty of facilities dedicated to relaxation and conviviality. A large aft platform with a central sunbathing area, seating and integrated storage is accompanied by smooth access to the wide side decks. At the bow, a second solarium overlooks a large storage locker. The convertible central cockpit allows you to quickly switch from a sheltered space to a ‘cabriolet’ configuration, ideal for sunny days.
The hull design is by Dynastream. This deep V with ventilated steps, coupled with a penetrating bow, promises safe handling in all conditions. The high bow, sleek lines and meticulous finishes contribute to a refined aesthetic without compromising sailing efficiency.
Inside, the space is divided to preserve everyone's privacy. The master suite is located at the bow and features a double bed, generous storage space and a private bathroom. A second cabin with a double bed is located at the stern, while a berth for the skipper can be provided under the aft sun deck. The central area connects the living and sleeping areas, creating a sober and upmarket atmosphere.
The overall finish, from the furniture to the fabrics, reflects the brand's premium positioning. Every detail, from the upholstery to the woodwork, contributes to the overall harmony of the boat. Technohull confirms its mastery of comfort without sacrificing performance.
In terms of motorisation, the XPD 46 can be fitted with inboard or outboard engines with a combined power output of up to 1,800 horsepower. This is enough to envisage cruising at 35 knots and up to 60 knots in an optimised configuration. This is a significant speed for a model that is still designed for long-distance adventure.
With this first unit, Technohull intends to establish itself in the mid-size explorer yacht segment. The objective is clear: to offer boaters a high-performance, comfortable technical platform that is equally suited to summer getaways and more demanding sailing conditions. The XPD 46 is designed to be just as at home in a posh marina as it is in a secluded anchorage.
This move upmarket is part of the Greek shipyard's strategic desire to expand its range to include models with greater exploration capabilities, without compromising the codes that have made it so successful: meticulous finish, impeccable seagoing performance and contemporary design. This direction is confirmed by Technohull CEO Gerasimos Petratos, who emphasises that the Expedition series marks a new stage in the brand's development, with boats designed for sailors seeking autonomy and intensity.
With the launch of the XPD 46, Technohull is demonstrating its desire to combine performance, elegance and robustness in a single project. This is a direct response to the changing expectations of demanding boaters who want to broaden their horizons while maintaining a high level of comfort. The boat's architecture, its versatile layout and its ability to cope with a variety of sea conditions make it a newcomer to watch in the offshore cruiser sector.
