Based in Les Achards, Ruchaud draws on nearly 130 years of experience in technical upholstery for pleasure boats and commercial vessels. Since its takeover, it has initiated a five-year investment plan worth €1 million, aimed at renewing equipment, digitising processes and integrating new, more efficient and responsible materials. These developments are accompanied by a sustained effort in training and recruitment, in order to consolidate internal skills and support the increasing technical complexity of projects.
The brand has also undertaken a complete overhaul of its visual identity, symbolising its modernity and move upmarket. Its new upholstery now features on several boat models presented at the Cannes and La Rochelle boat shows, confirming its role as a key player among European shipyards.
Building on this expertise, Ruchaud is diversifying its activities into other demanding sectors such as hotels, restaurants and interior design. These new markets, where quality and sustainability are as important as in the nautical industry, enable the company to showcase its craftsmanship while consolidating its industrial base.
At the same time, Ruchaud is embarking on its international expansion with several export collaborations. The company will participate in Metstrade 2025 in Amsterdam (Hall 5, French Pavilion, stand 05.356), the world's leading maritime equipment trade fair, to enhance its visibility and establish new partnerships abroad.
By combining artisanal heritage, technological innovation and environmental responsibility, Ruchaud is confirming its ambition to become a major European player in technical saddlery, combining French standards with global competitiveness.
