Our colleagues from the American magazine Cruising World have just elected Catana 53 catamaran of the year in the category of over 50 feet.

In the USA, the travel multihull Catana 53 has just been awarded a prestigious Trophy : Multihull of the Year for boats more than 50 feet.

For this highly competitive trophy, the Catana 53 was opposed to models as different as the Lagoon 50, the Neel 51 and the Leopard 50, well-born boat units representing what is best on the sector.

At the end of tests and a particularly rigorous benchmark, it is the Catana 53 that finally stands out, after a confrontation divided mainly in two duels: the one between Lagoon 50 and Leopard 50, and the one between Catana 53 and Neel 51!

A strategic model at Catana, the Catana 53 is currently the bestseller of the range, a model that has taken over the codes developed by the shipyard with the Catana 62 and 70, declined on a size that makes it still a catamaran manageable by a couple !

With its powerful design, its side fins that allow it to go upwind, the Catana 53 seduced the jury by its velocity - it is a fast catamaran capable of sailing daily at 10-12 knots or 240 miles a day - and by its quality of construction.
