March 10 2020
It is in application of the decree of the French Ministry of Solidarity and Health of March 9, 2020, that the Aix Marseille Provence Metropolis decided to cancel the 2020 edition of the Nauticales de La Ciotat.
This order includes several measures aimed at stopping the spread of the Covid-19 virus that appeared in China last December.
Among these measures is a ban on demonstrations by more than 1,000 people.
The decision was notified to the organizer of the Nauticales, the Grand Pavois Organisation company, which had been working for months on the event and was mobilized to hold it. The opening of the show is scheduled for Saturday 14 March and will last until the 22nd.
The Salon Les Nauticales de La Ciotat is the 4th French boat show in terms of visitors, with more than 30,000 visitors per year. It traditionally opens the French nautical season and is one of the last moments for boaters to acquire a boat available before the summer season.
The 2020 edition that was announced was particularly rich in novelties. New products that yachtsmen can discover at the dealerships, with the professionals of the sector being mobilised to welcome them.
