Specifications of the Jeanneau Yachts 55 - 2022/2023

The Jeanneau Yachts 55 is a luxury sailing yacht from the French shipyard Jeanneau (a brand of the Bénéteau Group), announced in July 2022, for a first presentation to the public in January 2023, during the Boot in Düsseldorf. The Jeanneau Yachts was developed by a combination of the naval architecture firms Philippe Briand, Winch Design and Jeanneau Design.

In the Jeanneau Yachts range, the Jeanneau Yachts 55 sits between the Jeanneau Yachts 54 and Jeanneau Yachts 60, the flagship of this family of travel yachts being the Jeanneau Yachts 65.

The Jeanneau Yachts 55 measures 16.96m in overall length, with a hull length of 16.09m and a beam of 4.99m. The displacement of the Jeanneau Yachts 55 is 18.5 tons. The Jeanneau Yachts has a draft ranging from 1.98 m to 2.55 m, depending on the type of appendage chosen.

A family sailing yacht, the Jeanneau Yachts 55 has a sail area ranging from 131 to 159m2, depending on the rigging chosen.

The Jeanneau Yachts 55 is an owner's sailboat, available in a 3 cabins and 3 bathrooms configuration, namely an owner's suite located in the forepeak, and 2 VIP cabins, located on the aft center of the boat. The Jeanneau Yachts 55 can have a skipper's cabin located forward of the owner's cabin, instead of the traditional sail locker.

During its presentation, the Jeanneau Yachts 55 surprised by proposing a deck layout quite similar to that of a catamaran, directly from the famous Sun Loft of the shipyard, with 2 central steering wheels, a vast aft deck saloon with huge benches and sunbathing area, and a central saloon perfectly protected by a bimini and an arch, gathering a dining area and a chart table, in the direction of travel.

In fact, the Jeanneau Yachts 55 overturns the traditional architecture of monohull sailing boats, while retaining the performance, but with the functionality of a catamaran.
