Lionel Messi starts chartering luxury catamarans with Bali 5.4s

The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner has teamed up with MedCat Group, the Spanish importer of the French catamaran brand Bali, to offer 3 luxury catamarans for charter, in this case Bali 5.4s, the benchmark for global sales in the 54-55 foot segment in recent years.

Lionel Messi starts chartering luxury catamarans with Bali 5.4s

Regarded as one of the best footballers of any generation, Argentina's Lionel Messi is no less a shrewd businessman and a great lover of sailing and the great outdoors.

The Inter Miami CF striker, who turned down a $1.4 billion offer from Saudi Arabia when he left PSG a year ago, preferring the United States for family reasons, has decided to combine his passion for the sea with business, in particular his investment in the MIM hotel company, of which he is a co-founder. He has now joined forces with Medcat Group, the importer of Bali Catamarans in Spain, to set up a luxury catamaran charter business with skippers.

His aim: to offer luxurious, user-friendly boats with plenty of space, so that every guest can feel at home.

Lionel Messi's logical choice was the Bali 5.4, the flagship of the French shipyard, which stands out from its competitors :

  • unique outdoor living spaces (cockpit, XXL flybridge AND decked bow offering a secure bow cockpit, usable both when sailing and at anchor, and accessible both via the side decks and via a front door giving direct access to the saloon);
  • a saloon-cockpit that opens or closes on to the sea thanks to a tilting door, offering living space worthy of a superyacht (126 m2);
  • a layout offering 6 spacious guest cabins, all with their own bathrooms
  • top-quality construction and finish, to create a unique cruising atmosphere.

All in all, three BALI 5.4s have been ordered by Lionel Messi, and are available for charter in the Mediterranean in summer and in the Caribbean in winter, through Med Cat Charter.
