X Shore raises SEK 50 million to strengthen electric marine mobility

X Shore, a company specialising in the design and production of electric boats, has announced that it has completed a SEK 50 million financing round.

The fundraising brought together existing investors and new players, demonstrating confidence in the company's strategy and long-term ambitions.

According to René Hansen, CEO of X Shore, this transaction marks ‘an important milestone’ in the company's development. He emphasised that ‘in a complex market environment, X Shore has demonstrated its ability to move forward with focus and resilience’. The CEO also expressed his gratitude to the investors and affirmed his belief in the growth prospects for the sector.

X Shore, founded in Sweden, has established itself as a pioneer in sustainable marine mobility. The company designs models for both the recreational and professional markets. It thus meets the expectations of a clientele that is increasingly attentive to environmental issues and keen to reduce its ecological footprint.

The company highlights the economic and environmental benefits of its electric platforms, particularly for professional operators. According to X Shore, using its boats can reduce operating costs by between 84% and 90% compared to combustion engine boats. These savings are complemented by a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, fuel consumption and noise pollution. These features are in line with growing regulations concerning ports, protected areas and urban coastal environments.

The manufacturer also highlights its industrial capacity. Its production site, described as one of the most advanced in the world for this type of boat, has an integrated manufacturing line. X Shore produces the composite materials required for its units in-house. The factory, designed to combine efficiency and compliance with environmental standards, has an annual production capacity of up to 900 boats. The company claims a high level of quality, traceability and environmental compliance throughout the industrial process.

Another differentiating factor highlighted by the company is its Cicero dark green rating for sustainability. This certification attests to X Shore's commitment to a rigorous environmental approach, aligned with international emissions reduction and energy transition targets.

The fundraising led by X Shore was supported by Vator Securities, which acted as exclusive financial advisor. The Vator Securities teams supported the manufacturer throughout the operation. X Shore expressed its gratitude to the advisors involved in the project, citing in particular Kristofer Krolak, Erik Röjvall, Erik Rosenberg Sjöström and Pooya Madjidi Bergström for their involvement.

With this new financial injection, X Shore intends to continue investing in research and development, as well as in optimising its production. The company plans to strengthen its presence in existing markets and explore new commercial opportunities, both regionally and internationally.

The momentum towards electric marine solutions, driven by public policy and increased consumer awareness of environmental issues, is expected to continue to offer favourable prospects for the sector. X Shore is thus positioning itself as a committed player in the transformation of local maritime transport, providing concrete answers to today's environmental challenges.

With this round of financing, the company confirms its ambitions in a rapidly changing sector, where technological innovation and sustainability are becoming essential criteria for meeting the expectations of professionals and recreational boaters. X Shore intends to build on these strengths to consolidate its development and actively contribute to the evolution of practices in the field of navigation.
