The development of fleet tracking software is also among the manufacturer's announcements. This system, developed in collaboration with c.technology, aims to improve operational monitoring and intervention planning. By using data collected continuously, the tool should help optimise vessel efficiency, better manage maintenance periods and refine sailing schedules. Additional features, such as the creation of checklists and routines for daily activities on board, simplify crew management.
The integration of these digital systems reflects a fundamental trend in the maritime industry: the search for comprehensive solutions that combine propulsion, performance and operational monitoring. Torqeedo is part of this dynamic, offering technologies designed to enhance fleet control, particularly for professional and autonomous vessel operators.
Among the equipment on display at the show is a new fast charging device. Equipped with CCS2 technology, this system facilitates the recharging of large units and completes Torqeedo's offering for operators looking to reduce the downtime of their boats.
The new Deep Blue 200i engine is one of the main innovations unveiled at the event. Designed for integration into electric or hybrid propulsion systems, this fully integrated inboard engine offers a maximum power output of 200 kW at 900 rpm. Intended for commercial vessels, it is designed to meet the needs of applications requiring high torque and increased performance.
The German manufacturer is also offering a revamped version of its Deep Blue 100 azimuth thruster. Capable of rotating 360 degrees thanks to an electric system, this model has been designed to facilitate manoeuvring of heavy vessels navigating inland waterways. Its design reduces maintenance requirements and extends service life, which is a big plus for operators looking to keep downtime to a minimum.
At this year's show, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the latest developments in the Torqeedo range and extensions for different types of vessels. The solutions on display reflect a commitment to adapting electric and hybrid systems to a wide range of applications in commercial shipping.
Matthias Vogel, Senior Vice President of Global Markets, Customers and Services, emphasises that these developments are part of a strategy to expand the possibilities offered by electric propulsion. He points out that the modularity of Torqeedo products allows configurations to be tailored to the specific needs of shipowners and operators. He believes that the Amsterdam trade fair is a showcase for these innovations, which seek to address the current challenges facing the shipping industry.
Participation in the 2025 edition of the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe also reflects Torqeedo's ambition to support the energy transition in the maritime sector. The company says it intends to continue its efforts in fleet electrification, while developing solutions that take into account the constraints of water transport professionals.
In addition to the equipment on display, the manufacturer is highlighting its integrated approach to propulsion. This philosophy aims to offer complete systems combining motors, batteries, charging interfaces and data management tools. This positioning enables Torqeedo to meet the expectations of a market seeking turnkey solutions to reduce its environmental footprint and improve operational efficiency.
