New Models 2025-2026: Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht Series II

Unveiled at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025, the Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht Series II embodies the new generation of ocean-going cruising yachts developed by Australian manufacturer Riviera. Founded in 1980 on the Gold Coast, the brand has established itself as one of the country's leading shipyards, renowned for the quality of its long-range cruising vessels.

With this revamped version of the 64 Sports Motor Yacht, Riviera has achieved a comprehensive evolution of a model launched in 2020, combining aesthetic modernisation, functional improvements and technological integration.

The Series II of the 64 Sports Motor Yacht builds on the foundations of the original model — a vessel designed for offshore sailing and extended life on board — while incorporating numerous optimisations.

Riviera's engineers have reworked the boat's silhouette to enhance its visual balance and fluid lines. While the overall dimensions remain unchanged, the exterior and interior layouts are now more ergonomic and comfortable to use.

The yacht remains true to the ‘sports motor yacht’ spirit: a versatile vessel designed for cruising, water sports and long-distance sailing. The deck plan offers unobstructed lateral circulation, a spacious aft platform and a multifunctional cockpit, suitable for leisure activities as well as mooring and sport fishing.

Access to the cockpit is via two side doors. These openings, which fold back against the hull when open, allow the living space to be enlarged when at anchor. The cockpit, equipped with a barbecue station and a large freezer compartment, can be used both as a relaxation area and a water sports area.

On the main deck, the covered outdoor lounge (or ‘alfresco deck’) has been redesigned as a fluid transition space between indoors and outdoors. It now forms a true extension of the saloon, offering approximately one-third more living space. This deck is equipped with modular furniture, a bar with an ice machine and sink, and a retractable television in the ceiling.

The centrally located galley remains faithful to the Riviera style: a U-shaped layout, noble materials and ample storage space. It is equipped with a composite worktop, a combination oven, a three-burner induction hob and a large-capacity refrigerator complemented by several freezer drawers. A dedicated wine storage area and a beverage station complete the ensemble.

At the front, an optional deck lounge allows the area usually reserved for storing the tender to be converted into a convivial space. With the tender launched using a retractable crane, this deck becomes an ideal place for meals or relaxation.

Access to the wheelhouse is via a staircase integrated into the lounge. The navigation bridge offers panoramic visibility and a modernised layout. Two adjustable leather armchairs and a central helm station with touchscreen instrumentation bring together the main controls, including the Twin Disc Express Positioning System (EPS), an electronic aid that maintains the boat's position via GPS and bow and stern thrusters.

The fully enclosed and air-conditioned flybridge has also been optimised. It features a convertible seating area, solid wood furniture and integrated storage solutions. At the rear, a covered terrace offers a new relaxation area with a bar, refrigerator and secondary helm station to facilitate harbour manoeuvres or fishing trips.

The lower deck retains the flexible configuration of the first model, with a choice of three or four cabins and three bathrooms. The master suite, which spans the entire width of the boat, features a central double bed, a seating area and plenty of storage space. Two large side windows provide natural light.

A utility cabin or separate crew area can be fitted out according to the owner's requirements. This space, accessible from the cockpit or the master cabin, can include a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and dryer.

The Riviera 64 Sports Motor Yacht Series II is powered by two 1,550 horsepower MAN V12 diesel engines, offering controlled power and smooth sailing. Access to the engine room is via several entry points, including a watertight door from the technical cabin.

The shipyard emphasises stability and noise reduction, notably through a reinforced structural design and the optional integration of Seakeeper or Humphree stabilisers. Additional energy solutions, such as a composite solar charging system or Starlink satellite connectivity, are also available as options.

Analysis:

With this Series II, Riviera continues to refine a model that has become emblematic of its range. More functional, better integrated technologically and still faithful to the shipyard's philosophy of combining comfort, safety and offshore performance, the 64 Sports Motor Yacht confirms its place in the category of vessels designed to sail long distances, far from shore and in complete autonomy.

Unveiled in Fort Lauderdale, this yacht illustrates the evolution of a savoir-faire that prioritises reliability and engineering quality over radical change. It is a way for Riviera to build on its legend while staying true to what has made its reputation: mastery and consistency over time.
