Founded in 2002 in Gdańsk, Poland, Sunreef Yachts has established itself in just over twenty years as one of the most innovative shipyards in the world of luxury boating. Specialising in the design and construction of high-end sailing and motor catamarans, the manufacturer has combined craftsmanship, cutting-edge engineering and bespoke design to create yachts that are synonymous with elegance and durability. Under the leadership of its founder, Francis Lapp, Sunreef has revolutionised traditional catamaran design by introducing bold innovations: customisable layouts, hybrid propulsion, eco-friendly materials and integrated energy solutions.
Today, the brand has state-of-the-art shipyards in Gdańsk and Dubai and a global influence, driven by a demanding clientele of shipowners, adventurers and public figures. True to its motto -‘the future of luxury yachting’- Sunreef continues to redefine the standards of luxury catamarans, particularly through its Power and Eco ranges, which combine performance, refinement and respect for the environment.
Sunreef at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025
At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2025 (29 October to 2 November 2025), Sunreef Yachts will present two of its flagship models: the 60 Sunreef Power, which will make its official debut in the United States, and the 80 Sunreef Power, the flagship of the range. These two catamarans embody the shipyard's philosophy: to offer yachts that are powerful, luxurious and customisable, capable of sailing comfortably on all the world's seas.
The 60 Sunreef Power symbolises the perfect balance between efficiency, comfort and style. Measuring 18.3 metres in length, it has been designed to meet the expectations of yachtsmen looking for a compact catamaran capable of long offshore cruises. Its innovative design optimises space on board, while offering remarkable marine performance thanks to its moderate displacement hull, designed to reduce fuel consumption and improve stability.
Inside, the 60 Power showcases Sunreef's expertise in customised interiors. Each unit can be configured according to the owner's wishes: open or closed galleys, panoramic saloons, suites with sea views, or modular guest cabins. The shipyard pays particular attention to the quality of the finishes, using fine woods, leather, high-end fabrics and indirect lighting designed to enhance the volumes.
In terms of motorisation, the 60 Power can be equipped with two engines ranging from 300 to 850 horsepower each, depending on the desired navigation programme. It also has a large aft platform, ideal for swimming, launching a tender or storing a jet ski. Thanks to its considerable range and exemplary seakeeping, this model is equally suited to coastal cruising and long-distance voyages.
First unveiled in 2019, the 80 Sunreef Power has become one of the shipyard's most iconic models in just a few years. A true superyacht on two hulls, it is 24 metres long and nearly 12 metres wide, offering volumes comparable to those of a 35-metre monohull yacht.
One of its major assets is its complete customisation: owners can choose every detail, from the deck plan to the interior decoration. The vast flybridge transforms into an open-air lounge with a bar, solarium and dining area, while the foredeck features a spa pool and sun loungers for moments of absolute relaxation. At the rear, a tender garage provides storage for jet skis, seabobs or diving equipment, a rare luxury on a catamaran.
The exterior design of the 80 Power, created by the Sunreef Design Team, stands out for its powerful and balanced silhouette. The panoramic superstructure, large glass surfaces and teak finishes emphasise a contemporary and timeless aesthetic.
Under the bonnet, the yacht can be fitted with impressive engines, up to 2 x 1200 horsepower, to reach speeds of over 25 knots. Thanks to its twin-hull design and low centre of gravity, it combines power and stability, ensuring smooth and quiet sailing even in demanding conditions.
Beyond luxury and performance, Sunreef Yachts is firmly committed to the ecological transition of yachting. For several years, the shipyard has been developing its Sunreef Eco range, which is based on the integration of invisible solar panels in the hulls and superstructures, electric propulsion systems and high-capacity batteries designed in-house. These technologies significantly reduce the carbon footprint while ensuring impressive energy autonomy.
The 80 Sunreef Power Eco, for example, can sail for several hours using only electricity, in total silence, offering a unique experience that combines respect for the environment with refinement.
Each Sunreef yacht is a unique piece, designed in close collaboration with the owner. The shipyard prides itself on its artisanal approach: the fittings are handmade, the materials are selected for their durability, and technological innovations are always integrated with aesthetics in mind.
