Cannes Yachting Festival 2026: Greenline Yachts is preparing to launch the Greenline 50, the hybrid successor to the 48

Greenline Yachts has reached a key milestone with the announced launch of the Greenline 50. Designed to replace the Greenline 48 – the Slovenian shipyard’s flagship model for over a decade – this 50-foot cruising yacht promises more space, flexibility and customisation. The first hull, the construction of which is already well advanced, is due to be launched in Portorož (Slovenia) at the end of the summer.

A pioneer in responsible yachting since its foundation in 2008, Greenline Yachts has built its success on efficient navigation combining internal combustion engines, electric assistance and solar panels, in order to reduce reliance on generators whilst at anchor.

Single-level living and flexible layouts

The Greenline 50 retains the brand’s signature design DNA: high bulwarks, a rear-sloping superstructure and panoramic glazing. The main deck offers a single-level living space with no steps between the saloon and the aft cockpit, ensuring a seamless flow to the outside.

In terms of layout, the yacht offers:

  • Sleeping quarters: three versatile cabins (configurable as double or twin beds) and up to three bathrooms.
  • Choice of aft area: a spacious storage locker for a tender or nautical equipment, accessible via the opening in the aft bench seat, or a separate crew cabin with optimised headroom.
  • Flybridge version: the first hull is configured with a spacious flybridge comprising a fully equipped helm station, relaxation areas, a table, a fridge and a bar on the port side, similar to the Greenline 45 and 58.

6G hybrid propulsion and enhanced customisation

The Greenline 50 offers a choice between high-performance diesel engines or the shipyard’s proprietary 6th-generation (6G) hybrid propulsion system. Combined with a battery bank and solar panels, this technology enables the on-board equipment to be powered silently whilst at anchor, without the need to start a generator.

By raising the standard of finish and expanding the range of customisable materials, Greenline is modernising the core of its range. For Vladimir Zinchenko, the brand’s owner, and Alessandro Lorenzon, global sales director, this new model embodies the culmination of the shipyard’s expertise: offering a timeless, self-sufficient yacht perfectly suited to the demands of high-end cruising.
