Winner of a European Yacht of the Year 2020, the Dehler 30 OD (One Design) has just won a double award at the very popular Best Boats Awards of Sail Magazine.

Each year, our American colleagues from Sail magazine reward the latest models of yachts launched across the Atlantic, through their Best Boats Awards, which are very popular in the US.

This year, the Dehler 30 One Design , a cruiser racing model that has received unanimous acclaim since its launch, won no less than two awards at the virtual awards ceremony, in the respective categories of "high-performance yachts of 30 feet or less" and "Systems", a rare double award that deserves to be highlighted.

In the first category, jury members highlighted the Dehler 30 OD's very good level of performance, as well as its great ease of use, even at high speeds, while in the second category, they wanted to reward the technological innovations introduced by the shipyard, in particular the retractable propeller shaft, very practical in navigation (video below). 

Adam Cort, editor-in-chief of Sailk magazine said on this occasion: "The jury unanimously elected the winning boat in the "Performance Boats 30ft or Less" category. In addition to the design, the deciding factor was the spectacular test run in Chesapeake Bay, which was certainly one of the best courses in recent years for the Best Boats Awards. The Dehler 30 OD proved to be incredibly exciting to skipper, yet simple to control. In addition to the fun factor, this keeps the average speed consistently high, and that's where the success of long-distance racing lies".
