The Bénéteau Group announces a new organization for its Boating Division

Bénéteau Group, the world's number two yacht manufacturer, has announced a reorganization of its yacht division. The division will now be organized around three business segments: Sailing (monohulls and multihulls), Dayboating (6 to 12-meter motorboats for day cruising) and Real Estate on the Water (12 to 24-meter motoryachts).

This new organization should enable Bénéteau to pursue its transformation as a multi-specialist in the yachting sector, a unique positioning in the marine industries, not unlike that of Stellantis or Volkswagen in the automotive sector.

This reorganization involves three important appointments within the French group.

Accordingly, Bénéteau has announced several appointments :

Clément Himily has been appointed General Manager of the Sailing business (monohulls and multihulls). With over 15 years' experience in the industry, Clément Himily joined Groupe Beneteau in 2017. In particular, he worked on the development of the Group's production site in Bordeaux, of which he took over as General Manager in 2020, against a backdrop of transformation and growth for the LAGOON and EXCESS brands. He has previously held various operational management and executive positions for food industry groups such as Mondelez International and Danone.

Yannick Madiot has been appointed General Manager of the Dayboating business (6 to 12-meter motorboats and day sailing). Yannick Madiot has over 25 years' experience in a variety of demanding international industrial environments. He has in-depth knowledge of the Beneteau Group, and in particular its American subsidiary, having held the position of Vice-President Finance and Administration for Beneteau USA for eight years from 2002. In 2010, he returned to France to join industrial equipment manufacturer WEIR, where he was successively CFO, then Managing Director of the Safety Valves business. Yannick Madiot also held the position of Director of Operations for North America within Groupe Beneteau's Boat division between 2019 and 2021.

Michelangelo Casadei has been appointed General Manager of the Real Estate on the Water business (motoryachts from 12 to 24 meters). He joins Groupe Beneteau after more than twenty years' experience in the automotive and then nautical industries. Michelangelo Casadei managed the Finnish factory and operations of the Nautor Swan Group between 2021 and 2024. Prior to this, he worked for the Ferretti Group between 2008 and 2021, first as Quality Director, then as Engineering Director.

Commenting on the reorganization, Gianguido Girotti, Managing Director of the Beneteau Group's Boat Division, said: "I am delighted with the appointments of Clément Himily, Yannick Madiot and Michelangelo Casadei, and wish them every success in fulfilling their missions at the head of these new business areas. This reorganization of the Boat Division will enable our Group to pursue its transformation as a multi-specialist, and to remain as close as possible to the specific expectations of our customers in each segment".

It should be noted that these appointments come a week after Groupe Bénéteau's Annual General Meeting on June 4, at which Catherine Pourre was appointed Chairman of Groupe Beneteau's Board of Directors (replacing Yves Lyon-Caen) and Louis-Claude ROUX as Vice-Chairman of the Board.
