The spring of 2021 is the occasion for Bénéteau to lift the veil on the Gran Turismo 45, a brand new model that will top the range of sport cruisers of the Vendée-based shipyard.

The sport cruiser or express cruiser segment, these sporty inboard or outboard boats with open wheelhouses at the stern, is a major market in the field of motorboating, where the Bénéteau brand has made a reputation over the years, with its successful Gran Turismo range.

2021 is the occasion for the Gran Turismo range to welcome its new flagship, the Bénéteau Gran Turismo 45, which complements the Bénéteau Gran Turismo 32, Bénéteau Gran Turismo 36 and Bénéteau Gran Turismo 40.

Replacing the Gran Turismo 46, the Gran Turismo 45 is distinguished by a major evolution in style, conducted with the Italian designer Pierangelo Andreani, which consisted of changing the roof with new side windows much larger than before, at the rear of which a "diamond point" finds its place - a stylistic signature of the range - a front windshield framed by two posts integrated into the roof, which changes completely the look of the boat, and very noticeably enlarged windows of the hull.

In fact, the profile of the Bénéteau Gran Turismo 45 gains in dynamism, elegance and simplicity. The bevel on the top of the hull sides is particularly appreciated, refining the line by playing with the light: a fine piece of work.

In terms of deck layout, the shipyard has worked hard on the circulation on board, with a redesigned cockpit, a huge bathing platform, a vast sunbathing area on starboard, under which is located a tender garage - a first on a 45-foot express cruiser - and an off-center helm station on starboard, which frees up space on port side to allow for easier movement from the bathing platform to the access to the companionway in the private area (galley, saloon and cabins).

A family boat, sporty and safe, the Gran Turismo 45 will be available in 2 or 3 double cabin versions.

With its inboard Volvo Z-Drive D6-380/DPH (2X380 HP/HP) or Volvo D6-IPS 600 (2X 440 HP/HP) engines associated with the famous Air Step hull that has made the reputation of Bénéteau's motorboats, the Gran Turismo 45 should stand out at sea, like its predecessor, by the pleasure of driving it.
