Environment: Sunreef Yachts wins two awards for its Sunreef Eco electric catamarans

Like Tesla in the automobile industry, the Polish builder Sunreef Yachts, world leader in the luxury semi-custom catamaran market, is leading the way in the field of eco-responsible yachting.

The shipyard created by Frenchman Francis Lapp has a range of nearly 10 models of electric or hybrid catamarans, 5 sailing catamarans and 5 motor catamarans, ranging from 40 to 100 feet, which is unique on the market!

The Sunreef ECO range is characterized by optimal energy management on board, both in terms of energy production and management, and the use of sustainable materials of natural origin.

To this end, the Gdansk-based shipyard has developed a whole range of specific technologies, such as flexible solar panels, wind turbines, revolutionary air conditioning, and a unique water purification system, which allow the yachts leaving the shipyard to have a very low carbon footprint during their use.

This approach, which was initiated more than 10 years ago by Sunreef, has just been rewarded with a Boat Builder Award for Business Achievement at the METS in Amsterdam in the Environmental Initiative category, and with a German Design Award in the Eco Design category.

Last September, the Sunreef Eco range received a World Yachts Trophy during the Cannes Yachting Festival, in addition to the UIM Environmental Award and the Gustave Trouvé Award.
