The jury rewarded the Seadeck 6 for its integration of design innovations and solutions to reduce the environmental impact of yachts. They praised its use of recycled materials, lightweight construction and hybrid propulsion system, while emphasising that sustainability and luxury are not mutually exclusive. In addition, the Fly 72 received a special mention in the Best Flybridge over 60 feet category, confirming Azimut's position in this segment.
The Seadeck 6 is the first model in Azimut's hybrid series, designed to create a harmonious relationship between man and nature. This series of yachts aims to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 40% compared to traditional models of a similar size.
To achieve this goal, Azimut combines a lighter superstructure thanks to the extensive use of carbon fibre, a latest-generation hull developed in collaboration with NAMES, and the Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode system designed with Volvo Penta. This system enables zero-emission navigation and mooring with the generator switched off, further reducing energy consumption.
Azimut has also replaced traditional materials with sustainable alternatives, such as cork instead of teak,Econyl (a fibre made from recycled fishing nets) for the carpets, and recycled PET for certain structural components.
The Fun Island, designed by Alberto Mancini, reinvents the beach area, with opening side wings forming a large terrace overlooking the sea. An adjustable platform facilitates access to the water, providing a convivial and comfortable space for guests.
With the Seadeck 6, Azimut offers a new vision of sustainable yachting, placing innovation and conviviality at the heart of the experience.
