The enhanced line of the Axopar 29 wins an award at Boot 2025

The Axopar 29 was crowned ‘Best Sports Boat’ at the prestigious Motor Boat Awards 2025, at a ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Düsseldorf on 21 January. The event, hosted by Motor Boat & Yachtingeditor Hugo Andreae and test journalist Alex Smith, annually celebrates the boats that have been rigorously tested by the editorial team.

The award for the Axopar 29 underlines its excellence and its ability to surpass its predecessor, the Axopar 28, which is regarded as an iconic model. Hugo Andreae said that replacing such a popular model was a risky challenge, but Axopar had risen to the challenge with flying colours. The 29 improves performance and functionality while retaining the essence of the brand.

The boat features significant innovations: a higher bow and a flare above the waterline that ensures drier, safer sailing in rough seas. These adjustments have made it possible to integrate a user-friendly forward cockpit with seating on four sides, optimised storage, a sundeck and a multi-functional cabin under the console, equipped with a bed, sink and toilet.

Despite increased competition since the launch of the 28, Axopar has risen to the challenge with a boat that sets a new standard for the industry. This victory is all the more impressive given that the Axopar 29 was only launched a year ago.
