Vedettes à fly - Azimut wins the Miami Innovation Award 2025 for the Azimut Fly 72

At the Miami International Boat Show 2025, Azimut Yachts was honoured by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and Boating Writers International (BWI) with the Miami Innovation Award for its Fly 72 in the Cabin Cruisers, Motor Yachts and Trawlers category.

A prize for innovation

The Miami Innovation Award recognises shipyards and suppliers that introduce new products to the market. The seven-member BWI jury, which tested the products throughout the year, was impressed by Azimut's Fly 72, noting:

"Fluid lines, specific materials for the saloon and galley, and spaces designed to optimise use. The flybridge and bow are both functional and comfortable.

This award highlightsAzimut's approach to research and development.

The Fly 72: between functionality and comfort

The Fly 72 is the new model in the Fly Series, characterised by a simple, effective design and an ability to offer optimal sailing conditions. The exterior lines are by Alberto Mancini, while the interiors are designed by Fabio Fantolino, who favours a harmony between ergonomics and technology.

The interior concept is based on a mix of sober materials such as wood, bronze and high-gloss lacquers, inspired by twentieth-century Italian design. The transversal nature of the design links the nautical world to that of contemporary interior design.

A balanced exterior design

Alberto Mancini has preserved Azimut'ssporting DNA while introducing the clean lines and sculptural tension characteristic of the Fly Series. This precision work aims to offer a dynamic look and optimised sailing comfort, reflecting Azimut's vision of combining innovation and functionality.

With this innovation award, the Fly 72 illustrates Azimut's ability to adapt to technological and aesthetic developments in boatbuilding.
