Monaco Yacht Summit 2025: Between Innovation and Sustainability

Since its inception in 1991, the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) has established itself as the world's most prestigious showcase for luxury yachting. Every year, Port Hercule welcomes the largest yachts, shipowners, designers, shipyards and equipment manufacturers who come to showcase their expertise. But beyond the glitz and glamour, the event is also a forum for reflection, where trends and strategic directions for the industry are developed. Since 2016, the Monaco Yacht Summit has been the benchmark forum at the start of the show: a platform for dialogue bringing together experts, engineers, owners and investors to discuss the technological, economic and environmental challenges facing the sector.

Monaco Yacht Summit 2025: Between Innovation and Sustainability

For its fifth edition, taking place on 24, 25 and 26 September 2025, the Monaco Yacht Summit aims to decipher the profound transformations that are reshaping the nautical industry. Against a backdrop of ecological transition and changing practices, the event offers visitors, buyers and professionals a clear vision of the trends that are shaping the future.

The programme has been structured to optimise the participant experience: thematic conferences, round tables, screenings and interactive discussions will punctuate three days of high-level exchanges. Sustainability, technological innovation and customer experience will remain the guiding themes of this edition.

The Monaco Yacht Show will officially kick off on 24 September at 10:30 a.m. with the opening conference. It will highlight the concrete progress made by the industry in terms of sustainability and present the commitments that are redefining yachting.

Among the topics covered:

  • The Blue Wake initiatives, the show's flagship programme, which promotes eco-responsible innovations.
  • Advances in energy storage: new-generation batteries, hybrid systems, methanol and hydrogen solutions.
  • The contribution of AI and digitalisation to reducing fuel consumption, optimising navigation and achieving environmental objectives.
  • The transformation of the charter sector, with more responsible practices: waste reduction, sustainable procurement, customer awareness and carbon offsetting.

This conference will set the tone: that of an industry aware of its responsibilities and resolutely committed to a sustainable future.

At the heart of the programme is a series of thematic round tables, organised in partnership with Superyacht Times and Spear's magazine. These sessions will offer participants in-depth analysis on strategic topics.

24 September – Day 1

  • Electrification: the next essential step for yachting?
  • Underwater noise pollution: understanding and reducing the impact of yachts on ecosystems.

The day will conclude with an exclusive screening of the documentary Ocean with David Attenborough, followed by a discussion with director Toby Nowlan.

25 September – Day 2

  • Becoming an owner: opportunities and challenges of acquiring a yacht (session hosted by Spear's).
  • Developing a sustainable marina: economic and urban planning models.
  • Refit and sustainability: extending the life of existing yachts through innovation.
  • Luxury & sustainability: reinventing customer expectations through responsible design.

26 September – Day 3

  • Yacht stability: technical and regulatory challenges.
  • Marine nuclear power: a serious option for decarbonising the sector?
  • Sustainable destinations: designing environmentally friendly ports and infrastructure.

These discussions aim to provide concrete tools for industry players, while opening up new perspectives for investors and decision-makers.

At the same time, the Blue Wake programme will showcase the technological and aesthetic solutions that are transforming the market. Conferences led by renowned exhibitors and designers will present:

  • Emerging technologies (hybrid propulsion, impact reduction solutions, structural innovations).
  • Design trends that combine aesthetics, performance and environmental responsibility.

These discussions will offer an inspiring glimpse of what tomorrow's yachts will look like: more sustainable, smarter and designed around the human experience.

Beyond the conferences, the Monaco Yacht Summit plays a key role in the appeal of the Monaco Yacht Show. In 2025, more than 120 superyachts are expected to be on display at Port Hercule, confirming the Principality as the world capital of yachting.

The event brings together an international audience – investors, shipowners, shipyards, architectural firms and young talent – who see Monaco as the ideal setting to develop a shared vision. The combination of Monegasque glamour and technical rigour makes the summit a unique bridge between innovation, business and maritime culture.
