It became 6 years ago the great reference of the ‘No Kill’ sea fishing competition, this appointment of sports fishing enthusiasts organized by Bénéteau internationalizes more and more and still arouses the enthusiasm of the participants thanks to its festive atmosphere and warmth.

The 2018 edition of the Barracuda Tour will take place in Crouesty, Morbihan, from May 25 toJune 2. The creation of the Barracuda Tour dates back to 2011, when Bénéteau launched its Barracuda sport-fishing range. Robust boats, dynamic lines ... The Barracuda 9 quickly became a hit with fans and fans of sport fishing.

The idea of ​​creating a community around this range is launched by Yannick Hemet, Beneteau's Commercial Director for Southern Europe. His meeting with Frédéric Lavion, French importer of Lowrance, in 2013, marks the beginning of the Barracuda Tour, when they decide to equip two Barracuda and to invite big names of sport fishing for a new raid. The event is born!

Rallying at the beginning Saint-Gilles- Croix-de- Vie in Saint-Malo, the program of this first edition 2013 does not hesitate to go brave the Raz de Sein for a ‘No Kill’ bass fishing party.

Proof of the enthusiasm that competition arouses in the world of sport fishing, fans from all over the world hurry around the Barracuda, to meet the competitors and admire these boats that seduce by their excellent behavior at sea.

The second edition will then be open to everyone. The competition brings together more and more partners and registrations flock to board the twenty Barracuda 7 made available by Bénéteau. The enthusiasm of the participants spreads on the social networks, and the event is becoming more and more popular.

In addition to the fact that the Barracuda Tour is open to all, its warm atmosphere and the excellence of its organization, it is the Bénéteau monotype that also explains its success: equipped with the same equipment, the fishermen measure themselves against each other on equal terms; a world premiere.

The concept is developing, and a Mediterranean edition in Corsica was born in 2015. The Chinese and German dealers are organizing their selections in preparation for the Grand Finale, which is still taking place on the French Atlantic coast.

The Barracuda Tour also becomes an ideal observatory for the behaviors and expectations of the fishing navigators, and the competition also allows the Bénéteau developers to equip each new model of innovation in phase with the aspirations of this demanding public. The launch of the Barracuda 8, in 2015, is crowned with a hundred orders!

The following editions will mark a turning point in the internationalization of the Barracuda Tour: since 2016, Bénéteau has invited its dealers around the world to organize a selective event for the Grand Finale.

In 2018, crews from all over Europe will participate, but also from the United States, China or Turkey!

The program of the Barracuda Tour 2018:

May 25 - 27: Amateur Challenge:
During this first weekend, all the participants will compete by crew of four fishermen aboard the Barracuda. The winning team will join the Grand Finale.

May 30 - June 2: Grand Finale:
During the second weekend, partners, winners of the Amateur Challenge, registered owners of Barracuda and winners of Selective Tours organized before will take part in the competition during three intense days. The team with the most points in this event will be crowned the winner of the Barracuda Tour 2018 at the closing and awards ceremony.

A village open to visitors:
From 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM on the port of Crouesty during the two weekends of competition, with many stands and animations devoted to fishing at sea.
