On this Antares 8, versatility goes further with the birth of two versions, Antares 8 Cruising and Antares 8 Fishing, both still powered by outboard engines. The Antares 8 2021 was presented for the first time at the Grand Pavois 2021 in La Rochelle (France).
With its taut, elongated lines and meticulous, sporty design, the Antares 8 is a stylish leisure boat. With its pronounced curves, cap profile and large windows, the Antarès 8 is closer to the codes of a houseboat than those of a fishing boat.
The Bénéteau Antarès 8 has an engine that can reach 250 HP, enough to propel it at more than 35 knots.
Very spacious with its large rear platforms, the Antares 8 is able to accommodate 9 passengers during day cruises.
There is room for everyone on board, whether for lounging in one of the two large sunbathing areas, which can be reached via the generously enlarged starboard gangway, or for dining in the aft saloon with its U-shaped folding benches.
An boarding gate, on the starboard side, offers easy access to the pontoons during maneuvers and to the sea during swimming!
With a high level of finish (two colors of upholstery in the catalog), the Antares 8 has unusual equipment for a weekender of this size.
The galley has a refrigerator and a gas or electric stove, the bathroom has a marine toilet, a sink and a shower, and the boat can even be equipped with air conditioning, which is quite unusual on this size of boat.
The five berths are divided into two doubles (forepeak and wheelhouse) and one single, under the floor.
On this fishing version of the Antares 8, optimized for sea fishing, the aft bench seat gives way to a professional quality fishing station. Combined with a circulating livewell, a fish tank and bottom storage compartments, this equipment will satisfy the demanding fisherman.
The exterior of this version is distinguished by its two-tone livery, black anodized roof rack, matching rod holders and roof-mounted spotlights.
As an option, the Antares 8 can be fitted with a latest generation Garmin 12' fishfinder.
