52 knots, 29m long: Canados announces Gladiator 961 Speed

No respite for Canados, the mythical Roman shipyard, which, with the Canados Gladiator 961 Speed, has announced a sporty 29.22-meter-long boat capable of making 52 knots, positioning itself as a leader in the world of sailing... 52 knots, positioning itself de facto as the new flagship of this high performance range!

Is it possible to cruise at 42 knots, before hitting the throttle and reaching 52 knots, in order not to miss an important meeting on land, or simply to get one's adrenaline rate up?

Canados, the Italian shipyard founded in 1946 and based in Rome, owned by Frenchman Michel Karsenty, answers in the affirmative with the Gladiator 961 Speed, a luxury Sport-Fly Cruiser, as powerful as it is elegant.

It must be said that Canados is a specialist in this field, with no less than 5 Gladiators in the catalog - open boats so far - ranging from 13 to 22.33m in length, with top speeds ranging from 37 to... 85 knots!

As such, the Gladiator 961 Speed is 10 knots faster than all its competitors! The message is clear. 3 types of engines are proposed, going from 2x2000hp MAN in U-Drive, to 3 MAN V12 2000hp!

The exterior design of the new flagship of the Gladiator range is sporty and elegant, timeless and recognizable among all. It is magnified by high quality hull paints - zero gelcoat at Canados ! - using the best in the business, the famous Awlgrip HDT paints, the Italian shipyard being a partner of the French distributor AGL Marine.

If the design makes you think of an Express Cruiser, it's not, the Gladiator 961 Speed has a perfectly integrated flybridge, without any T-Top for a perfect line, offering a new outdoor living space, in addition to the cockpit and foredeck.

Despite its performance, the Gladiator 961 Speed will be very luxurious, with an interior designed by the famous Cristiano Gatto Design office in Venice. The number one hull will be a 4-cabin configuration with the owner's suite occupying the entire width of the hull, two side cabins with two beds and the VIP cabin at the bow.

The Gladiator 961 Speed will be launched in the spring of 2023 and will be unveiled to the general public during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023. It will be, for the time being, the flagship of the Gladiator range.
