Powerboats - Bénéteau announces the Flyer 9 in 2 layout versions

The 2020-2021 season is an opportunity for the Bénéteau shipyard in Vendée to conclude the renewal cycle of its range of outboard dayboats, by presenting the Flyer 9!

The new Bénéteau Flyer 9 is available in 2 versions: SpaceDeck and SunDeck.

A strategic offer for Bénéteau, as it allows first-time buyers to discover the brand through its smaller units, the Flyer range is being renewed, initiated two years ago with the Flyer 8, and now completed with the announcement of the Flyer 9!

In barely two years, Bénéteau will have totally renewed this successful family, launching, at a pace rarely seen in the boating world, the Flyer 8, carrying the new range identity, followed by the Flyer 10, then the Flyer 6 and 7 !

Pleasure of piloting and passage at sea

The Bénéteau Flyer 9, which will be officially launched in the autumn, replaces the Flyer 8.8, taking up the very sporty style of the range, as well as its specific hull features, notably the Airstep 2 technology, specific to the shipyard, as well as very fine keelwork on the bow, allowing a very good passage at sea, and rounded deadweight, guaranteeing an excellent useful volume, as well as a perfect water deflection.

Like the rest of the range, the Bénéteau Flyer 9 should therefore be characterized by very good seaworthy qualities, notably a rather surprising grip when cornering, and stability reinforced by two side skids located on the aft third of the hull. As such, this large dayboat - nearly 9m long - should capitalize on the pleasure of piloting and safety, which are constituent elements of this range of outboard boats.

In terms of engines, Bénéteau has opted for a twin-engine version that can reach up to 2x250hp: a choice that promises to offer a great deal of power, a guarantee of performance and great versatility of use.

Flyer 9 - one model, two deck layouts... with balcony on the sea!

Like the Flyer 6, 7 and 8, the Flyer 9 will be available in 2 deck layout versions, with a Central Console version (with a forward cockpit), called SpaceDeck, and a deck layout with a forward cabin, called SunDeck.

Among the innovations of these two versions, the integration of a tilting bulwark, located at the level of the cockpit on the port side, which provides a real balcony overlooking the sea at anchor, significantly increasing the available space and offering additional access to the sea, in addition to the two aft bathing platforms. A unique offer on this size of outboard boat.

Bénéteau Flyer 9 SpaceDeck - a real cabin on a Central Console

At first glance, the Bénéteau Flyer 9 spaceDeck is the ideal outboard boat for a day's programme, with its aft cockpit with sea view deck, its well-protected forward cockpit, offering a double meridian facing the sea - a location that should be favoured, both when sailing and at anchor - its two bathing platforms and its central console that can be enriched with a T-Top that is very useful for protection from the sun or rain.

The surprise that Bénéteau has reserved for us on this model, is the integration of a real double berth positioned under the forward cockpit, which therefore allows a couple to envisage spending nights on board, reinforcing the model's versatility. A model with a full bathroom: a real plus!

SunDeck Bénéteau Flyer 9 SunDeck - incredible interior space

For those who want a model that combines the advantages of an open boat with those of a weekender, the Bénéteau Flyer 9 Sundeck should meet their expectations.

In addition to its aft cockpit with a tilting port bulwark, the Flyer 9 Sundeck features a deck foredeck with a large sundeck, accessible from a port side gangway, wide (the cockpit is offset to starboard) and above all deep, like the Bénéteau Flyer 10. An intelligent choice, which allows you to go on the foredeck, even when sailing, which is impossible on most deck motorboats, unless you are a bit of a daredevil!

This foredeck contains a large cabin with two double beds, one in the forepeak, and the second one under the cockpit, a galley and a shower room.

This choice of layout provides a unit with extreme versatility in terms of exterior and interior spaces.
