You have never been on board a prototype of a pleasure boat?? Boatscopy, Yachting Art Magazine's technical and new boat equipment program, invites you to go on board the Excess 15 Hybrid Electric, a very promising prototype in the field of eco-responsible boating.

This prototype was unveiled at the Yachting Festival 2021, using a very innovative approach: present a model that is not intended for immediate commercialization, test it, and gather the opinions of boaters in order to fine-tune the offer that could be developed within 18 to 24 months (even if the model presented is already for sale...).

In this Boatscopy program, you will learn all about the Excess 15 Hybrid Electric, which innovates with its Deep Blue Torqeedo engines, connected to a ZF Saildrive, a world first, a catamaran equipped with two 40kW batteries from the automobile industry (BMW i3), which can be recharged either at the dock, or with a generator, or while sailing, via hydrogeneration, one using the 2 Saildrives!

This last mode seems very promising, knowing that these batteries can also be connected to solar panels ....
