40-minute interview - the role of naval architecture in the development of a range of catamarans

Live interview with Vincent Lauriot-Prévost (VPLP) and Bruno Belmont (Excess Catamarans), conducted from the offices of VPLP Vannes, followed by a question-and-answer session with Yachting Art viewers.

On Friday, at 6:30 pm, there was a big premiere on the Youtube Yachting Art channel: a live broadcast, from the offices of the naval architecture firm VPLP Vannes, during which the architect Vincent Lauriot-Prévost (co-founder of the firm with Marc Van Peteghem) and the marketing design manager of Excess Catamarans, Bruno Belmont, explained in detail the role of the naval architect in the development of a pleasure boat, in this case the new range of Excess catamarans.

This exceptional broadcast of almost 40 minutes, another first on the web, explains how, from the initial project brief to marketing, the shipyard and the naval architecture firm work hand in hand, between the 3 variants presented by the architect, the choice of the latter, then the progress of the project, and the testing of the first boats.
