With its 37'22'', or 11.33m length, the Excess 11 will be the smallest mass-produced catamaran on the market, a position left vacant by the Lagoon 380, which has been discontinued in recent months after a rather extraordinary worldwide success!
Positioned as a pleasure catamaran, with its two aft steering wheels, its lack of flybridge, its very long snout and a weight estimate of around 8 tons (when a Lucia from Fountaine-Pajot, displays around 9.5 tons for 11.73m) the Excess 11 should offer sportiness, its comfortable sail plan should allow it to sail faster than the wind, between 4 and 8 knots of wind, just like its big brothers!
We'll therefore be expecting the same feel for the helm as on the Excess 12 and Excess 15, bearing in mind that the youngest of the range has been developed in a spirit of simplicity and practicality.
Offering two types of layouts - 3 and 4 cabins with 3 and 4 shower rooms with separate showers - the Excess 11 will not be frustrating, however, as customers want to be able to combine sportiness with comfort.
