Excess Catamarans has announced a 2024 model of its Excess 11, with a focus on performance and fun at the helm, and the integration of an all-new overlapping genoa.
With an extended sail area, this evolution brings not only more speed, but also greater sailing capabilities in light airs, to make the most of every sea outing.
Trim possibilities (twisting) have been improved, offering sailors optimal control, while keeping maneuvers simple and intuitive for the helmsman.
This improvement applies to both the standard rig and the Pulse-Line version (longer mast) of the Excess 11.
This new vintage with overlapping genoa adds 16.5% more sail area than the previous version with a jib. Upwind sail area on the Pulse Line version now reaches 95.5m² (vs. 82m² with self-tacking jib).
With a sail geometry similar to that of the Excess 14, the Excess 11 fits harmoniously into the Excess Catamarans range.
