On Wednesday, September 1st, at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Club, Fernando Alonso, two-time Formula 1 world champion, placed an order with Francis Lapp, president and founder of the Sunreef Yachts shipyard, for a 60 Sunreef Power Eco, a 60-foot electric motoryacht catamaran.

For Sunreef Yachts, the Polish shipyard from Gdansk, world leader in the semi-custom luxury catamaran market, and forerunner in the electric yacht market, this signature is a new recognition of the relevance of its avant-garde technologies.

Combining green technology with highly innovative solutions and sustainable design, the Sunreef Yachts Eco range offers today the most advanced solutions in the nautical industry in terms of sustainable yachting, with ultra-modern and energy-efficient electric motor yachts.

For his 60 Sunreef Power Eco custom, Fernando Alonso has opted for electric motors and solar panels with unique technology developed in-house by the shipyard.

Fernando Alonso's electric motoryacht will also be equipped with batteries custom designed by Sunreef Yachts and a low energy consumption air conditioning system specific to the brand.

With the signing of this new construction contract, the motorsport superstar joins the prestigious family of Sunreef Yachts ambassadors.
