Riviera's Sport Motor yachts are comfortable, well-finished closed flybridge cruisers that don't shy away from a fishing trip or any other nautical activity. Their enclosed flybridge gives them real all-weather capability and a very elegant look.
When we simply look at the lines of some of the stars of the living world, based simply on the look, the style, the design and without looking at the specifications, we can say, a bit like in the car industry, that the design and the concept of beauty is dangerously on a downward slope...
Whether you want volume or a mix of genres, sometimes the end result, while pleasing to the project manager, isn't very successful, aesthetically speaking. Without mentioning any particular brand or country, there is a fundamental trend towards making boats whose essential criterion is no longer simply to be beautiful...
The Australians at Riviera claim to have produced more than 4,200 boats from their workshops. Riviera is Australia's top-of-the-range boat builder. This positioning is reflected not just in the visible details, but in the entire construction process. The hulls are made of fibreglass sandwich and foam core, and all the stiffening reinforcements are laminated to the hull, as are the bulkheads and the hull-deck joint. This important construction detail is bolted, glued and laminated on the Riviera! The composite fuel tanks are integrated and laminated to the hull, which is 20 mm thick for the living works.
The cabinetry, based on solid wood, receives five coats of varnish, and the seats are covered in extra-soft lambskin leather from neighbouring New Zealand.
The Riviera 58 Sport Motor Yacht is a cross between a sportfishing yacht, with its open aft cockpit, and a flybridge yacht, with this area entirely enclosed.
The 58 feet of this beautiful boat comprise, below, the engine room and the three cabins and their washrooms, on the main deck, the open aft cockpit, half a level above, the aft saloon-cockpit and the galley, forward of which are the large U-shaped galley, the saloon and the inner saloon.
The flybridge houses the two-seat interior helm, worthy of an aircraft carrier bridge, and, set back, a small saloon and a terrace with summer kitchen.
